May 28th, 2010I just printed up a one color version of the paradise lost tee done by dan mumford. its printed with straight discharge ink(no actual ink on the shirt) onto black american apparel tees. They will be up for order June 7th and a picture will follow this weekend.
In other news, i just saw the beginnings of the don quixote piece by dave quiggle and its looking amazing. So excited, although that is for the fall release. I will hopefully be selling two of the fall shirts super duper early at the thread show in san fran that is listed below on the 19th. Moby Dick by Keaton Henson and Alone(edgar allen poe) by Rob Dobi.

update on how the fall line is shaping up
May 17th, 2010The plan is to release the fall line on August 15th. I know that sounds far away, but I have to start planning and already have most of the artwork in the works. This release will include Poe, Bukowski, Melville(moby dick) and Don Quixote plus probably one more. A few polos, a new hoodie and potentially a cardigan! More info and previews/teasers as it gets a bit closer. I’m really excited already and the spring line has only been out a month!
Photo shoot in the desert/ Invisible Man reprints
May 17th, 2010Yesterday, we headed out into the desert to Tortilla Flat in AZ to take some photos for the slideshow on this page and also to start doing some 1/2 page ads in magazines. Had a ton of fun and realized I should never be allowed to model for anything. Theres a reason I cut my head out in the product shots, because I always look awkward. But, the girl model (jennifer) from a bunch of the product shots killed it and the pictures were looking great. I will have some pics within the next week to show everyone and some of the silly out takes and hopefully some behind the scenes video as well.
In other news, Invisible Man is going to be re-printing on both the coffee color and hoodies within the next two weeks. A lot of people have been emailing wanting the salt and pepper hoodie, so I’m making more. The white version will not be printing again ever, so if you didn’t grab one, it is gone for good. There might also be a tank top version as well as two other tanks i will be putting out for the summer. Its been tank season in AZ for a while already, so it is easy to forget that other people have real summers that start in June.
Record shopping in PA
May 15th, 2010One of my favorite things to do when i go back and visit family, is to stop by Siren Records in Doylestown, PA and pick up new vinyl. Some of you might remember the charity belt I did with Circa Survive about two years ago to raise money to help keep Siren open. This trip I picked up some records I should have owned on vinyl and never got. I bought, The National “Boxer”, Lifetime “Hello Bastards”, Joy Division “Love will tear us apart” and Morgen s/t. Finding the Morgen record was a great surprise because I have been trying to find it for a long time and it finally got put out on 180 gram. Still not available on iTunes or via torrent, but it’s great 60’s psychedelic rock.
Morgen “welcome to the void”
Lifetime “monday morning airport” (different record, but still awesome)
